Recently, I went out with a guy who so perfectly painted a picture for me of what a relationship should look like. & as my God does what He does how He does it, wasting nothing, I realized that this was His intent for me, and every girl actually.

Car doors were opened, actually every door was opened and when I tried to open one myself, I got into trouble. Chairs were pulled out. Dinner was paid for and again, I got into trouble when I reached for the ticket & the context of the conversation was so centered around a God we are both passionately pursuing, it was effortless.

I love that everything changes when you bring God into the picture. Our lives were connected instantly through this unexplainable God who is working in each of us separately.

It gave me a entirely new perspective on not only my dating life but again God changed the way I look at Him. God so cares about us, and our hearts, and who we are… He intendeds for us to be in relationships, & friendships that build us up, add to our lives and most of all are honoring towards each other, towards HIS creations.

We, as children of the Most High God should be serving each other(with not only our actions but our words), pushing each other to grow in the Lord. This boy, who so amazed me by WHO he is in God, said he wants everyone he talks to- to walk away with a spark wanting to know God more.

I definitely walked away around midnight last night with a spark.

I love people who can push me. Inspire me. Teach me. Correct me. He did all of this in one night. He taught me how I should be treated. How God intended for every single one of His creations to be treated. He inspired me, and pushed me, and corrected me… and it was six hours I enjoyed every minute of.

I love friendships and relationships that are firmly rooted in God’s truth and based off of a growing breathing relationship with God. I believe those friendships where we are honestly ourselves with our friends add immeasurably to our lives. So thankful tonight for a God who reminds me of things just when I need it, & who brings such amazing people into my life, and particularly thankful for last night.
